Job Title: Fire Service & Maintenance Engineer
Location: Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire & London (Flexible Travel Required)
Salary: £40,000 -  £45,000per annum

This is a mobile role working within 30 minutes of your home address, with any additional travel paid. The position involves commissioning fire alarm systems from design stage through to handover, ensuring all systems are installed, tested and certified in line with current regulations.

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Fire Service & Maintenance Engineer to join our expanding team, servicing clients across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, and London. You will carry out inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of fire safety systems including alarms, detection systems, sprinklers, emergency lighting, and extinguishers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out scheduled maintenance, servicing, and inspections of fire systems.
• Diagnose, repair, and test faults in fire protection equipment.
• Ensure all work meets UK fire safety regulations and standards (BS 5839, BS 5266, etc.).
• Record and report all service activity accurately.
• Attend emergency call-outs when required.
• Advise clients on fire safety improvements and compliance.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Fire Service & Maintenance Engineer or similar role.
• FIA (or equivalent) commissioning qualifications
• Strong knowledge of BS5839-1:2017 and BS5839-6:2019
• Electrical qualifications (desirable)

• Advanced
• Ziton
• Kentec
• Morley
• Aico (Part 6)
