Gas Engineer - Cambridge

Location: Cambridge & surrounding areas
Salary:  £42,000+ DOE & Quals
Contract: Full-time Permanent  - Monday to Friday, 07:30–16:00.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and expanding building services organisation for an experienced Gas Engineer to support mobile contracts across Cambridgeshire.

This role is ideally suited to a motivated and ambitious engineer who is confident working independently and takes pride in delivering high standards across commercial sites. -

Key Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintenance of commercial gas systems, including plumbing, heating and hot water systems
• Diagnosing faults and repairing piping systems, fixtures and associated mechanical equipment
• Coordinating works with colleagues and other trades to ensure timely completion
• Carrying out routine inspections and planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Completing all required documentation, including job sheets, certificates and risk assessments
• Ensuring all work is delivered safely and to a high standard
• Identifying and sourcing materials required for works
• Managing multiple tasks effectively while maintaining quality standards

Experience within HVAC systems and plant room environments would be advantageous.

Requirements

To be considered, candidates must have:

• City & Guilds NVQ Level qualification (or equivalent)
• Current Gas Safe registration
• Experience within building services or facilities maintenance
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, adaptable approach
• A valid UK driving licence

Desirable:

• Asbestos Awareness certification
• Experience working within HVAC and plant environments
